The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
